- Contact The Gunnison Bank and Trust Company at 970-641-0320 to report any suspected fraud on your accounts.
- Contact any other creditors or account holders to alert them of the situation.
- Contact the fraud department at any one of the three credit bureaus to place a fraud alert on your credit file. The credit bureau you contact will share this information with the other two bureaus. You will then be sent copies of your credit report from each bureau.
- If someone has misused your social security number or if you suspect it has been compromised, you should immediately contact the Federal Trade Commission at 877-IDTHEFT (438-4338) or visit their web site www.ftc.gov.
- A police report should be filed with your local law enforcement officials.
